DAY OF THE AFRICAN CHILD 2012
For several years we have celebrated the Day of the African Child win conjunction with our partner schools in Bo, Sierra Leone on June 16th.
The theme this year is “The rights of children with disabilities: The duty to protect, respect, promote and fulfill”

This year 500 children from Primary Schools in Warwick District attended Kingsway School for a taste of Africa with communal activities and workshops involving sport, stories, dance, drumming and songs.
We were privileged to have our five teachers visiting us from Bo, too. Mr John G Sandi addressed everyone to explain the day to the children and describe this year’s theme of providing education opportunities to those with disabilities.
